Known for collaborative leadership and innovative programming, he has worked with professional, youth, collegiate, and community musicians across the Southeast, bringing audiences and performers together through meaningful artistic experiences.

Key Projects & Initiatives:

Georgia Aquarium Partnership

Jackson established a long-term collaboration between Georgia State University and the Georgia Aquarium, creating paid performance opportunities for student musicians while enriching the Aquarium’s cultural programming. Now in its third year, the series connects audiences with classical music in unexpected, immersive spaces.

Harmony of Freedom Orchestra & Recording Project (2025)

As part of the award-winning Harmony of Freedom documentary, Jackson assembled and conducted a unique orchestra comprised of musicians representing 17 ensembles across the Atlanta region, including professional, youth, collegiate, and community organizations. The project united performers from groups such as the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, Georgia Philharmonic, Georgia State University, and other regional ensembles to perform Margaret Bonds' Montgomery Variations.

In addition to leading the live performance, Jackson oversaw the coordination of a largely volunteer-based production involving musicians, filmmakers, educators, historians, and community partners. The resulting recording became the first commercial release associated with the project and is now available on major streaming platforms, preserving a rare performance of Bonds' landmark work for new audiences.
